Keiko Fujimori of Peru's Popular Force has won the presidential election with 50.135% of valid votes, defeating Roberto Sanchez who secured 49.865%. The razor-thin margin of 49,641 votes marks Fujimori's first presidential victory after three previous failed attempts.
