US Returns Eighth-Century Buddhist Statues to Indonesia in Latest Cultural Heritage Recovery
The United States has returned two eighth-century bronze Buddhist statues to Indonesia after recovering them from a trafficking network operated by notorious antiquities dealer Douglas Latchford. The sculptures were formally repatriated at a ceremony in New York.
