Residents of Kampung Nunuyan Laut in Sandakan demonstrated remarkable coordination when fire engulfed their stilt village early this morning, using water pumps to create firebreaks and protecting 162 homes. Despite their efforts, 28 houses were destroyed and 109 residents displaced.
