Alan Tee Boon Tsong has been named the Pakatan Harapan candidate for Perling in the 16th Johor State Election, one of 56 seats the coalition is contesting across the state.

Alan Tee Boon Tsong stands as the the Democratic Action Party (DAP) candidate within the Pakatan Harapan coalition, which is chaired by Prime Minister Dato' Seri Anwar Ibrahim. The coalition brings together PKR, DAP and Amanah in a unified slate fielded across all 56 Johor state constituencies.

The Perling constituency forms part of the broader battleground that will decide control of the Johor State Legislative Assembly. Pakatan Harapan is contesting all 56 state seats in a direct challenge across both urban and rural Johor.

Representing the Democratic Action Party, Alan Tee Boon Tsong carries DAP's message of multiracial, transparent and development-focused governance into the Perling contest. DAP is fielding candidates in 17 of Pakatan Harapan's 56 Johor seats.

Pakatan Harapan's selection process for the Johor election was rigorous, with the coalition evaluating more than 1,000 potential candidates before finalising its 56 names. The slate blends established leaders, professionals and fresh faces, reflecting the coalition's bid to present a credible, governing-ready team to Johor voters.

Nomination Day falls on June 27, 2026, with early voting on July 7 and polling day on July 11. Voters in Perling will have their say as Pakatan Harapan seeks to extend its mandate across Johor.
